Day Trips & Bird-Watching Trips

The day trips with our rigid-hulled zodiacs are suitable for the general public, are guided by marine biologists and last 5-6 hours depending on weather conditions. We will provide you with a thermo suit, but you have to bring warm boots, warm cloths, sun protection, and your lunch.

The costs are 155 $ / person (children 120 $, taxes included). Since we take a maximum of 8 people on board, we strongly recommend to reserve in advance – please contact us by email or phone.

The St. Lawrence is also renowned for its bird life. A multitude of habitats provide resting and breeding areas for a diversity of sea birds and wading birds. We offer dedicated bird-watching trips and interesting packages for groups, tailored to your needs.

Our mooring site is in Les Escoumins, just at the north-eastern border of the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park and close to the feeding areas of humpback and blue whales. Our certified rigid-hulled zodiacs are the only scientific excursion boats in the St. Lawrence Estuary.

In general we offer day trips from June to mid-October, but with limited spaces available during our field courses, i.e. July 18-30, August 15-27 and September 12-24, 2022.

For safety reasons, we are only going on the water with good meteorological conditions. Therefore it is advisable to be in the vicinity for several days in order to be able to postpone the excursion if necessary. We will decide on the eve of the scheduled date if the day trip takes place and we will let you know by email, SMS or phone. Please take note that you have to pay cash on site.
